DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO RABAT
The tour with Your Morocco Holidays starts from your local riad or hotel in Rabat. We get picked up by your driver at the airport in Rabat and dropped off at your accommodation. If you arrive early, you can take a short tour to discover the city. Dinner and Overnight in Rabat.
DAY 2: RABAT CITY TOUR
After breakfast, we’ll take you on a cultural tour to explore the capital of Morocco “Rabat” and its historical monuments. You’ll visit the incredible Chellah Necropolis, the first medina and the ancient part built in Rabat, then you’ll move to Hassan Tower, the fascinating mosque which would be the greatest one in the world if the earthquake hadn’t destroyed it. Next to the tower you’ll find the lavish tombs of King Mohammed V and enjoy the views of the sea. After having lunch, continue your cultural tour to visit other places in the city, such as the King’s palace… Finish your tour with a drop-off at your accommodation.
DAY 3: RABAT – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FES
After breakfast, we’ll depart to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Then we’ll explore the holy city of Moulay Driss Zerhoun. After lunch in Meknes, we will begin our historical tour of the medina, visiting its monumental doors and popular attractions. Continue to Fez in the late afternoon, where your special night will be spent in one of the traditional riads in the city.
DAY 4: FES GUIDED TOUR
After breakfast, you will start your guided journey into the Medina, one of the world’s biggest walled-in urban communities. You will investigate the narrow alleys lined with fresh products, woven Berber carpets, mounds of spices, and numerous other craftsmanship of Morocco. A special visit to the King’s Palace, the tanneries, Mellah, and potters are only a few spots you will explore without forgetting the most ancient buildings and the first ones in the world. For lunch, you will have it in one of the traditional cafes in the medina. You will end the visit and come back to your riad for dinner and night.
DAY 5: FES – CEDAR FORESTS – MIDELT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA
Departure to Merzouga, going through the colossal cedar forests of Azrou, where troops of wild Barbary Apes (Barbary Macaque) live, and Ifrane, one of the most popular resort skis in Morocco. We will eat in a restaurant in Midelt. At that point we’ll drive through Erfoud, labeled as the capital of fossils and dates, crossing a few Berber towns such as Rissani, the capital of Tafilalet. We will then carry on to Merzouga. When we arrive at Merzouga, we’ll prepare for a desert camel ride. Dinner and overnight in a Berber tent at the foot of Erg Chebbi.
DAY 6: MERZOUGA -TODRA GORGE – OUARZAZATE
We will wake up right on time to catch the dawn over the dunes. Then back to the kasbah on our camels for breakfast and a quick relaxing shower before continuing the drive. We will have a short visit to the Rissani “Holly City”. At that point, we’ll leave for Todra Gorges to visit and stroll in the palm groves of the Todra Valley. After lunch in these captivating gorges, we’ll move on to Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate, passing by the Dades Valley. Your dinner and overnight will be taken in Ouarzazate.
DAY 7: OUARZAZATE-AIT BENHADDOU-MARRAKECH
After having your breakfast, we’ll take a tour of Ouarzazate, which is renowned for its kasbahs, including that of Taourirt and the Atlas Studio (Ridley Scott filmed a part of the film Gladiator (2000) etc…) Then we’ll visit Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, the kasbah, pronounced UNESCO World Heritage. After lunch, continue to Marrakech via the fascinating past of Tizi n’tichka. Arrive at your accommodation at night for dinner and night.
DAY 8: MARRAKECH – CASABLANCA – RABAT
After breakfast and before departing for Casablanca, we’ll have a short tour of Marrakech to stroll in its medina and souks. You’ll also visit Koutoubia mosque and Jamma El Fnaa. After lunch, we’ll travel to Casablanca to visit the colossal mosque Hassan 2. Then we will travel to Rabat.
