5 Days Tour From Rabat To Sahara Desert And Marrakech

DAY 1: RABAT – MEKNES – FES

The tour with Your Morocco Holidays starts from your local riad or hotel in Rabat. After breakfast in the hotel, our driver will meet you to start your 5-day desert tour. Today you’ll visit most of Morocco’s imperial cities, including Meknes, where you’ll have your lunch. Then we’ll drive to Volubilis to take a short tour of these Roman ruins before proceeding to Fes, where we’ll spend the night at a traditional hotel.

DAY 2: FES – AZROU – MIDELT – MERZOUGA DESERT

In the morning, depart early for Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and Berber villages. Pass through Ifrane, known as ‘Morocco’s Switzerland,’ and explore the Cedar forests to see and feed the Barbary apes. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, reaching Midelt for lunch. Journey through the beautiful Ziz Valley and Erfoud before arriving at Merzouga, near the Erg Chebbi Dunes. Prepare for an unforgettable camel trek into the high dunes, where you’ll climb to witness a picturesque sunset. In the camp, savor an Arabian Berber dinner with music and entertainment. Spend the night in Berber tents or under the stars.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGE – BOUMALNE DADES

Enjoy your morning in the Sahara desert and experience what an early wake-up among the dunes looks like. You’ll walk up to the top of the dunes to see the sunrise and then take another camel trek to the hotel for breakfast and a relaxing shower. Meet your driver again and start another day in the Sahara region. You’ll pass by large palm groves and oasis. When you arrive at the Todra gorges you’ll have a break for lunch and tour this deep canyon. Your way will continue to the Dades Valley, labeled as ” the Monkey Toes” and sleep at the hotel with dinner included.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

Today after breakfast at the hotel, you’ll see the most stunning landscapes of the high Atlas Mountains. After taking a short tour in the Dades Valley, we’ll start our fourth day in south Morocco, driving to Ouarzazate, which takes the name “The door of the desert”. Ouarzazate is notable for its splendid Kasbah of Taourirt and the cinematographic studios which hosted many famous movies. Continue to visit the unavoidable Ksar Ait Benhaddou, it is a Unesco world heritage site built on the side of the hill. This Kasbah is actually a fortified village protected by watchtowers and high walls where you’ll have lunch before continuing along the high pass of Tizi-n-Tichka with far-reaching views, to arrive at Marrakech in the early evening. Overnight it will be in a traditional riad or hotel.

DAY 5: MARRAKECH TO RABAT

Today we’ll transfer you to Rabat city for your departure time. If your plane is in the afternoon, in the morning we can give you a short tour to discover Marrakech highlights, such as the Koutoubia mosque and Jamma El Fnaa. This 5-day tour will end in Rabat I wish you a happy flight on your way back home.
